How you can change the world
by investing in the Club?
The economy is impacting our kids and families , and your support is needed now more than ever.
- Kids are hungry—More kids are coming to the Club hungry. Staff are scrambling to find filling meals that won’t break their budget.
- Families are in need—Many parents face evictions, layoffs, and overwhelming financial stress. Kids in the Clubs are exhibiting signs of these stresses.
Families are finding other childcare unaffordable—Our Clubs are seeing an influx of new members because our drop-in programs are significantly lower than other options in our area.
Despite these low costs, more parents are asking for assistance.
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Big Pines
depends on generous individual
gifts, fundraising events, and
foundation support to help us reach
3,000 youth each year.
The money we raise allows us to keep our services affordable and even free to high-need communities. Here are some of the ways your gift can make a difference in the
life of a child… There are several ways to get involved. Whether you volunteer your time by helping set up for a special event, by donating an unneeded piece of furniture or electronics, or by making a charitable contribution, your help goes a long way.
Making this easy
The perception that you can't change a life without a significant investment is not accurate. The Club offers the Kids Fund which allows the donor to make a monthly investment of just $25 per month charged safely on your credit card. [click here] to sign up.
People have a tendency to like round numbers. For a monthly investment of $83.33, you will be able to donate $1,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Big Pines annually. Donations are tax deductible. You can become a Lifechanger by [clicking here]
Jeremiah Milbank was a confidant of President FD Roosevelt and helped President Herbert Hoover develop the Boys & Girls Club national organization that provides support services for Clubs serving disadvantaged youth. He served as treasurer of the national organization for more than 25 years.
The Jeremiah Milbank Society is an elite group of individuals dedicated to supporting their local Boys & Girls Club with and annual investment of $10,000 or more to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Big Pines. Get information about the Jeremiah Milbanks Society by [clicking here]
The Heritage Club is an association of friends of Boys & Girls Clubs from all across the country. These people seek to ensure that the future needs of our local youth are met by including their local Boys & Girls Clubs in their estate plans. This planning might include a will, charitable gift annuity, a trust arrangement, a real estate gift or a life insurance policy. Find out more about the Heritage Club by [clicking here]
You can help us change the world
Imagine. You and 10 friends, just 10, can account for $3,000 as part of the Kids Fund. Thats almost 1,100 meals..
For just $25 per month, you can help us impact lives. We know everyone's situation is different, but $25 per month is a manageable amount in most cases..
Just put your credit card number in our secure system, and you will be billed on whatever day you want for as long as you want..
There is strength in numbers
If we could get 1,000 people as Kids Fund members in our entire area, that would be $70,000 more than the best year of all of our fund raisers...in $25 increments!.
Lots of strength in numbers
If each of our wonderful board members could get two Kids Fund members each month, thats a HALF-MILLION fund raiser!!.
Renewability = Sustainability
The renewal rate for microphilanthropy is 98.5%. Once you are a donor, you are often a donor for life..
It is donor directed
The Club has Kids Fund at $25 per month or Lifechangers at $83.33 per month. If you wanted to do $45.59 per month, you have that control..
You won't miss it
When properly stewarded, recurring donors often state that they forgot they were giving, until they received the thank you note!.
